These paintings and graphics created by Mariusz Lipski exhibited in
untypical public space, make me want to see the works closer.
On
7th of August 2013 there was an opening of the exhibition at Traffic
Club in Warsaw, made me also think about the ways we remember people and
things surrounding us.
See the works in Warsaw, Poland, at Traffic Club, ul. Bracka 25 (Chmielna corner), 3rd floor and atrium, 06.08-06.09.2013.
Quotation from the artist:
"... MEMORIZING
If truly?
If objectively?
According to Aristotle things we learn sensually can be remembered only if digested by imagination.
Imagination then becomes the symmetry axis between things remembered and imagination..."

Fine Art Painter Michal Warecki
Yesterday we've spent lovely evening at Cartonovnia - fine art gallery in Warsaw, Poland, attending the vernissage of Michał Warecki the polish fine art painter.
He started to paint earlier that he started to walk, as he used to fall asleep on her mothers paintings while she was painting. He maily paints women. I wonder is this expression of love or hate?

Edward Dwurnik, respected Polish artists, having an exhibition at the National!
On the occasion of 70th birthday of the artist the National Museum in Krakow organized
a large retrospective exhibition of nearly 150 works and prints.
Edward Dwurnik is one of the most popular and respected Polish artists.
He is foremost a painter - seeing and perceiving the world as a painter. He says that he would get insane if would stop painting, so painting is his way of life, a pure necessity.
Over nearly half a century Dwurnik painted nearly 5,000 images, created about 14 000 works on paper, and almost 3500 images. Very early developed his own recognizable and legible artistic language, and earned the recognition of viewers and collectors.
Critics have written that his paintings resemble "cartoons reporting on contemporary events" that "bends over homely reality" is the "chronicler". Dwurnik achieved commercial and financial success. also he had an impact on some young Polish artists. Another great Polish artist Wilhelm Sasnal doesn't hide that Dwurnik impressed him with a few of the paintings.
Presented at the National Museum in Krakow works have been arranged chronologically, so you can see the continuity of certain themes in the art of the artist.
Exhibition: March 23 - June 9, 2013 Main Building, al. May 3 1 - Department of the National Museum in Krakow, Variables Exhibition Hall, Ground floor

Picasso arts
Steven Cohen, SAC Capital Advisors owner bought the painting of Pablo Picasso's "Le Rêve" for $ 155 million. The price is the highest ever in the history of the United States offered for a work of art. Steve Cohen is well known art collector in the world. In his collections can be found canvas of Van Gogh, Cezanne, Manet, de Kooning, Picasso, Cezanne, Warhol.
Cohen started to build his art collection around 2001. The newly purchased Picasso painting "Le Rêve" shows Marie-Therese Walter, who was the artist's lover, model and muse.
Already married, 45-year-old Picasso met Walter in 1927 on one of the streets of Paris when she was only 17 years old. Despite the significant difference in age, it was the greatest love of the artist, which lasted for the next decade, and that inspired him to create many wonderful sculptures and paintings.
If you haven't seen the movie about it yet, maybe it's time to have a look at it. Search for "Surviving Picasso" (1996).
